About

The Centennial Basketball Association is a non-profit organization, formed in 1987 to serve students in the Centennial School District. We immerse children in grades 2 through 8 in the game of basketball. The CBA began with the primary goals of an equal opportunity for boys and girls, team orientation and affordable fees. The organization provides an in-house program with play on weekends and 34 to 40 teams in any given year. The traveling program has 22 to 26 teams and competes against teams from other communities. Registration is in September. The in-house program runs November through January, while traveling starts with tryouts in September and typically concludes in March. The CBA philosophy is to strive to create a positive, fun environment for boys and girls to develop basketball skills, promote teamwork, and instill in them the principles of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect. A fun and rewarding experience for each child is of the utmost importance to us. Teams are formed based on the child’s current level of development, to place him/her with similar players, allowing them the opportunity to develop and achieve the most success. The CBA is a partner with Positive Coaching Alliance and upholds the shared ideals to honor the game, teach life skills and create better athletes/better people.
